Another good idea from MINI
If you’d asked me 2 years ago, I would have said I didn’t like the MINI. It was just too posh for me.
But…they came up with really cool ads and activities in the last years and slowly but steadily my conceptions started to change. Now I’d rather say it’s a cool brand for youngsters. Ok, it’s still expensive, but at least it’s cool.
Here is a cool new...

QR ladiez
A survey from the US says that more women scan QR codes than men (64% women - 34% men) and most of them are between 35-44 years. The same survey says that 63% of them expect to find product details when they scan the code.
Im 27 now. Does that mean that in 8 years time I will be crazy about scanning product packages to get some booooring product info?!
I dont think so.

IKEA UK's social experience
Ok, so basically I love everything that involves social experience. I know I should worry about privacy stuff, but as far as they are cool, I dont care!
(let’s just remember to Intel’s lovely social experience app…)
A similar, but a bit more sales oriented campaign has been just launched by IKEA in the UK.
Enjoy!:)

Inspiration and a goodbye message
Here is one of my inspirations: It’s not how good you are, It’s how good you want to be from Paul Arden, Saatchi’s ex creative director.
It might be common sense and a little bit cheesy, but…inspiration is always needed and sometimes it’s good to read these sentences all over again.
I bought this little book in Tate Modern’s shop just after a brainwashing...

Why Are Some QR Codes More Scanworthy Than Others?... →
Those quick-response (QR) codes you see spreading far and wide give smartphone users a painless way to go to a company’s website, get discounts or gather contact information. But some QR codes are scanned more than others. Why? Is it because those winning QR codes are so creatively designed? …
Clever bit.ly
I’ve just realized if you use bit.ly to shorten your links and you put .qr after the shortened bit.ly link, you automatically get the QR of the shortened URL.
That’s easy and nice to use.
Enjoy:)

I wish I could do a master again...
and I would definitely use Mendeley.
I’ve just gave it a go and I think it’s amazing. Would have been a great tool while writing my dissertation.
Maybe I should do another MA just to make the most out of it?:)

Art gets augmented by Beck's
Becks’s recently launched a global art project, The Green Box project that will support international artists over the next 3 years. As a start, yesterday the Statue of Liberty got a big new flame through AR. They will come up with 30 virtual objects til September, probably in symbolic places in the US, UK and Italy.

Finally something that’s not that complicated or edgy as Buzz or Wave. Actually this is the first social direction from Google that I think might be able to work on the long run.

Pepsi's failure in social media
Marketers tend to think that social media will not just engage people but will also sell whatever marketers want to sell.
It seems it’s not true.
I still think that social media is a great way to create emotions and engagement, but it’s not enough to sell products or services. Or at least not for everybody. It might work in some specialized cases, but definitely not for FMCGs.
Here...
So how much does a social media campaign cost?
No, it’s not free.
You shouldn’t do it because “it’s cool, easy and free”.
It’s not.
A nice infographic on social media campaigns’ relates costs.
